Bronwen Withorn White

Bronwen is currently the Training Coordinator for the Family Justice Center of Boston, a program of the Boston Public Health Commission. She supports new and existing training efforts through ongoing collaboration with BPHC staff and FJC partner agencies serving survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, commercial sexual exploitation, and other forms of violence and trauma.

Prior to receiving her Master of Public Health from the University of Illinois at Chicago in Community Health Sciences, Bronwen worked in direct services in Chicago and the Dominican Republic in the areas of homelessness, HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment, and school-based support and outreach.

Her areas of interest include trauma-informed systems related to childhood exposure to violence, comprehensive sexual violence prevention strategies, and approaches to ensuring health equity in anti-violence work. Given the ways in which violence intersects with multiple forms of oppression, she believes this work must be part of a broader movement for social justice.
